Katie Hopkins shares the reason why Twitter suspended her account

The controversial commentator, Katie Hopkins, has shared the reason why Twitter decided to suspend her account, and according to her, it’s over one Tweet in reply to a rugby player, Ashton Hewitt.

Katie Hopkins has used her last mainstream social platform, Instagram, to share the reason why Twitter suspended her account, which had grown to over 1.1 million followers.

According to Hopkins, Twitter had said that it had only “suspended” her.

In a quick video on the platform, Hopkins shared the contents of the tweet, which was the final nail in her Twitter coffin, in which she used the phrase, she claims was from the BBC / Rowan Atkinson comedy, Blackadder, “Hung like a baboon”.

It was in answer to a Tweet from Rugby player Ashton Hewitt who called Hopkins “fucking toxic”.

Last week, Twitter announced that it had permanently suspended Hopkins, causing her name to trend on Twitter for over 24 hours.

Of course, it’s not the first time Hopkins has trended on Twitter or lost her standing on a platform after numerous controversial comments.

In response Mr Hewitt took to twitter to add, “Didn’t realise I was actually the reason for Katie Hopkins getting suspended from Twitter”.

Katie Hopkins’ fall from public view almost complete, after Twitter suspends her account

Twitter has suspended the right-wing reality-star turned political commentator, Katie Hopkins for “hateful conduct”.

It was one of her last platforms, but now Katie Hopkins finds herself without a Twitter account, losing access to over 1 million followers, a milestone she reached in September 2019.

A spokesperson from Twitter said, “Keeping Twitter safe is a top priority for us – abuse and hateful conduct have no place on our service and we will continue to take action when our rules are broken.

“In this case, the account has been permanently suspended for violations of our hateful conduct policy.”

The former reality star (Apprentice, Celebrity Big Brother) has had her twitter account permanently suspended for violating Twitter’s policies.

Hopkins has lost a number of jobs and positions due to her controversial nature and comments. In May 2017 her contract with the radio station LBC was ripped up and both the Daily Mail and The Sun, for whom she wrote columns for, also failed to renew contracts with her.

In recent times Hopkins has turned her attention to transgender issues, regularly commenting on the LGBT+ rights movement.

In January 2019 she published a limerick which included a transphobic slur aimed at Humberside police after the force revealed that they would always investigate reports of potential hate crime, which includes transphobia.

In 2018 she tweeted that she though that the Girl Guides were “imploding” due to trans rights

In 2018 Hopkins was sued by journalist Jack Monroe. Hopkins was forced into an IVA in order to avoid bankruptcy after losing the case.

Hopkins was ordered to pay Monroe £24,000 in damages and legal costs after a court found that comments made about Monroe were libellous.

Hopkins still maintains an Instagram account. She has around 72,000 followers on that platform.

Katie Hopkins has managed to achieve the 1 million status on Twitter, despite hundreds if not thousands of reports to the platform over the nature of her Tweets.

Many find the tweets to be offensive, however, Twitter has rarely found a reason to remove tweets and have not unverified or deplatformed the former Celebrity Big Brother star unlike other right-wing commentators, such as Milo Yiannopoulos.

She frequently comments on migration, race, Brexit and transgender issues. Her comments on Twitter generate thousands of replies from her fanbase – and the controversial pundit has often Trended on the platform because of her commentary.

The former Daily Mail and Sun writer was even investigated by the police over allegations of hate crimes (transphobia) due to her Tweets, however, no charges were ever brought against her.

In a message to her new followers Katie wrote, “Welcome to all my new followers. This is your place for your views to be shared & uncomfortable truths to be told. Don’t like me? No matter. Have something important to share. Great.”

These celebs are guilty of sending Anti-LGBT Tweets

Well, dozens of anti-gay tweets were discovered on his Twitter timeline dating back at least five years. Numerous racist slurs were also found on his timeline. The YouTuber left the jungle and it took him nearly three days to apologise for his error. It was an apology that didn’t go down particularly well – after he used a well-worn cliché “I’ve got lots of gay friends” during his interview with The Sun.

    Jared O’Mara

An MP who sat on the Women’s and Equality Committee had past homophobic and sexist forum comments unearthed by the political website, Guido Fawkes. The MP, who unseated Nick Clegg in the last General Election, was said to have used numerous anti-gay slurs on the Morrissey Solo website forum and Drowned In Sound. Terms such as “fudge packers” and driving “up the marmite motorway” to describe gay people were used and a message was written that said gay people were “bitter and resentful about being homosexual”.

The Labour party took action to suspend the newly elected MP for Sheffield Hallam. He also resigned from the Women’s and Equality committee.

Rivers was working on a mandate of promoting inclusivity and diversity at the magazine when a number of incendiary comments on his Twitter account between 2010 and 2015. Some of the tweets which have been deleted described Jews as “gross” and some directed hatred towards lesbians, overweight women and men, and Asian and Chinese people. This year Katie had problems with Rainbow police cars, police marching in pride parades, non-binary people, transgender people, the LGBT+ community in general. To be honest, her twitter timeline is full of moans and angry tweets – but fear not, apparently she deletes her entire catalogue once a week, so the offensiveness doesn’t last long. Screengrabs, however, are forever.

    Lily Allen

British singer, Lily Allen used the word “fags” on Twitter and got a response, trouble was it probably wasn’t the one that she was probably hoping for. She did later apologise for the comments.

The 27-year-old who has over 12 million subscribers on the Google-owned platform, tweeted, “I find it funny when gay men spit… it’s like they’re trying to be a bit macho but never works”. The tweet dated back to 2010, before Zoella became the household name.

In 2011 she allegedly wrote a tweet with an anti-trans slur saying,  “Are they honestly letting a tranny in a policeman hat speak to them like that? How odd! Haha x”.

In her apology she wrote, “I’ve seen a few of my old tweets from 7/8 years ago floating around (which I have now deleted) using words like “chav” “skank” and other words I wouldn’t use now as part of my language and lot of them were taken out of context referring to TV shows but I would never say those things now and I’m sorry if I have offended anyone, that was not my intention.

“Obviously that is not who I am today and I’d like to think I’m a little older and wiser! I’m not perfect and I’ve never claimed to be, I’m only human!”

Katie Hopkins thinks the Girlguiding organisation is “imploding” after it ruled, in keeping with the Equality Act 2010, that trans girls are allowed to join its ranks. The organisation recently made a statement clarifying that children who identify as female could join.

In a statement, Girlguiding wrote, “Girlguiding is for all girls, and that includes trans girls. We are working in line with the Equality Act 2010 and review our policy and practice regularly in line with the new guidance and best practice as it emerges.”

    Hopkins Hits Out

Writing directly to the CEO of Girlguiding Hopkins wrote, “Please can I politely request a chat. I identify as a trans-pescatarian on Fridays and prefer to be referred to by my non-binary nickname Uber-Twat. Breaking news – Your organisation is imploding.”

    Dear @ruthbmarvel @Girlguiding

Please can I politely request a chat.

When the West Yorkshire Police dept said it was “great to see” Girlguiding “standing up for trans rights” Hopkins couldn’t hold back her fury tweeting, “What about the rights of our daughters to shower and sleep safety with other little girls? Why are the police so willing to throw our children under the bus to climb aboard with trans-rights?”

Katie Hopkins has had to enter into an Insolvency Agreement to avoid bankruptcy after losing her libel case with food writer Jack Monroe.

Monroe took to Twitter yesterday to say, “I can confirm today that following that landmark libel case, Katie Hopkins has entered into an IVA to avoid bankruptcy. I knew for a while but could not say anything for legal reasons. The arbitrary defender of free speech didn’t want anyone to know, ironically…”

Back in May, Hopkins was ordered to pay Monroe £24,000 in damages and legal costs after a court found that comments made about Monroe were libellous.

An Insolvency Agreement is an agreement which means that the applicant will repay their creditors but over a longer time frame.

According to government data, Hopkins entered into the IVA in May.

Monroe stated in another tweet, “I have been paid in full, but many of her creditors, including my lawyer, will not be paid what they are owed. For the want of an apology, a house, a job, a column, a radio show, and now financial solvency, were lost. It’s all very sad, actually”.

Katie Hopkins has not addressed the matter publicly.

  • Transgender TV stars: “Terfs are obsessed fans of the trans community”

Transgender TV stars: “Terfs are obsessed fans of the trans community”

Producers from the Amazon Prime show, Fish Tank have called out gender critical feminists for being “secretly obsessed fans of the trans community”.

    Transgender Flag

Recently Katie Hopkins aligned herself with the #StickerWoman campaign. #StickerWoman is a hashtag which has been linked to stickers, which are shaped like a penis, which have been found in various UK cities which state, “Women Don’t Have Penises”. The campaign follows on from Get The L Out which threatened to derail the start of the parade at Pride In London in July.

Now the producers of the Amazon Prime show, Fish Tank – the first to feature two trans women stars have hit back saying that “TERFs are just secretly obsessed fans of the trans community”.

Creator, director and producer, Brandon Smithson, and star and producer, Arisce Wanzer believes that the message Katie Hopkins, Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists and #GetTheLOut are promoting is a “disgusting outright attack on the trans community”.

Speaking to THEGAYUK.com Brandon Smithson said,“It’s wrong for these groups and for people to reduce trans people to their genitalia”

“The stickers designed to specifically create a visceral reaction with the hopes to make people associate the disgusted feeling with trans people but instead it is making people see this group in a repulsive light.”

Arisce Wanzer, a transwoman herself, believes that, “it is really sad that Katie Hopkins and these groups have to put other people down to left themselves up.”

    Not looking at scientific facts

She continues by noting that “recent studies by the University of Liege found that the brains of transgender people resemble brains of the sex they align with rather than their assigned sex at birth. So these people and groups are clearly not looking at any scientific facts and are instead just trying to get a rise out of people”.

Both Smithson and Wanzer believe that if more people took the time to get to know those who identify as transgender, many of these false beliefs and ignorant opinions would be dispelled. They hope that their comedy series will open a dialogue for those that do not get the chance to interact with a trans person, and normalise trans people in a light-hearted, fun way.

Fish Tank follows the dating lives of two trans women in LA as they deal with inattentive boyfriends, dating apps, vulnerability, stereotyping and creeps.

The series is available in the UK on Amazon Prime and boast a strong cast of transgender actors playing trans and cis-gender roles.

India Willoughby slams Katie Hopkins after suggesting society is experimenting with trans kids

India Willoughby, one of the UK’s most visible trans women has slammed Katie Hopkins after suggesting that society is experimenting with trans kids’ minds.

Katie Hopkins was dealt an online blow from fellow former Celebrity Big Brother star, India Willougby, after the controversial former LBC radio presenter / Sun columnist / Mail Online columnist, TV presenter and Apprentice walk out, suggested that parents are the ones who suffer when their trans offspring decide to have surgery.

Hopkins’ comment was in reference to a mother who wrote on Twitter, “A plastic surgeon is removing my dghtr’s (daughter’s) healthy breasts tomorrow & he has been pd (paid) at least $8000CAD to do this. How much $$ will he want in a few years when she decides to reclaim her female body?

Hopkins, wrote back, “It is often mums who suffer when society experiments with kids’ minds

StickerWoman is a hashtag which has been linked to stickers which have been found in various UK cities which state, “Women Don’t Have Penises”.

    “No One Is Experimenting”

In a blistering response, Willoughby called Hopkins out on her statement saying, “Bitch. No one is experimenting with kids [sic] minds.

“You’re the sort who says they should go through puberty regardless of who they insist they are.

“And when they come out on the other side taller, broader, hairier, and unhappy, you’d be the first to point and laugh.

    “I repeat. Bitch”.

Hopkins undeterred replied, “I stand with Women do not have penises”.

“No young kid get sex-change surgery”

Willoughby shocked by Hopkin’s “ignorance” explained, “Just as much as you knew who you were, so do trans kids. If kids grow out of it without pressure, great – feel relieved for them! No young kid get sex-change surgery”.

Before turning her ire to the LGBT+ community stating “I’m mad at LGBT as well though – because they’ve watered T down to nothing”.

Previously, Hopkins caused offence during the previous season of Celebrity Big Brother, in which Willoughby took part, by Tweeting, “I am not transphobic. Live your life how you damn well please. Just don’t ask me to call a castrated man a woman”.

  • Tom Daley just clapped back at Katie Hopkins and it was glorious

Katie Hopkins has a lot to say about other people’s business…

The controversial, former columnist for The Sun and the Daily Mail, failed TV talk show host, non-winning Apprentice contestant, former radio presenter for LBC decided to speak up on Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black’s baby news, by seemingly drawing a comparison between the surrogacy journey to next day delivery from Amazon Prime.

However, Tom wasn’t having any of it and clapped back, putting Katie back in her box reminder her that Amazon was a delivery service, not a surrogacy service.

He then reminded Katie that love was always the winner.

    Too right and classy.

  • Katie Hopkins thinks the slaughter of whites is coming to Europe

In a tweet, Katie Hopkins has declared that she believes there will be an uprising against white people in Western Europe.

Katie Hopkins, who once described a wish to become a “gay icon” has declared that a white genocide is on its way to Western Europe and that white people will have to live in gated communties and behind walls. And she believes it will happen in “our lifetimes”.

The controversial, former columnist for The Sun and the Daily Mail, failed TV talk show host, non-winning Apprentice contestant, former radio presenter for LBC has recently travelled to South Africa to record and document attacks and murders of white South African farmers for Rebel Media – a far-right media organisation.

Using South Africa as an example, she wrote “The slaughter of minority whites in South Africa will be repeated in Western Europe. In OUR lifetime, whites will be forced behind walls, in gated communities in the countries we used to call home”

She finished her tweet with the hashtags: #MinorityWhiteRights and #MAGA (which stands for Make America Great Again – despite Katie Hopkins living in the UK a country, which is not America, and where white people are not in the minority.

Currently in South Africa the white demographic equals about eight percent of the population. In the UK the non-white population counts for around 14 percent of the population, in France it is estimated to be around 22 percent (2009) and in Germany, it is estimated that the Germany-Afro community stands at 2 percent of the population.

The tweet was met with mixed reaction. Whilst some agreed with her premise, many responders were quick to slate Hopkins’ suggestion, giving Ms Hopkins a brief history lesson.

Others decided to take her tweet a bit more seriously,

In January Hopkins asked her followers the following question, “Why is there no heterosexual community? Or white community? Do you need to feel like a victim to belong? #transcommunity #lgbtcommunity #blackcommunity”.
