Popular and Secret UK Nude Beaches

Looking for the best nudist beach in the UK?

When searching for a nudist beach, minds often wander to a warmer, more ‘European’ environment. Where banana hammocks are frequently discarded in favour of sunning those few parts that were left to the imagination. But you don’t have to travel that far to get some sun on your privates at a not-so-private locale, there are plenty of nude beaches right here in the UK.

We have nude beaches in the UK? Really? All I can think about is the amount of unflattering shrinkage that will be occurring. But for those of you who enjoy shedding your clothes and parking your posterior on pebbles WHATEVER the weather, there are a surprising number of nudist beaches right here in the UK for you to explore.

Just remember that not all nudist beaches are gay beaches, and not all gay nudist beaches are ok with other “activities”. A nudist beach is not always an excuse to go dogging.

    Studland Bay, Dorset

Where are the best nudist beaches in the UK

Let’s start with the most (in)famous nudist beach in the UK. Studland Beach has the image of naked men baked right into the title. The popular beach is packed come summertime, whether or not the weather is hot, so this is not the beach to come to if you’re looking for peace and solitude. The shy nudists out there might be better off trying a different beach if you’re still precarious about stripping off.

Studland Bay has a dedicated gay section which, whether you like it or not, has unsurprisingly become a popular cruising ground. Many voyeurists take to the dunes for a little slap and tickle of the bait and tackle before taking a cheeky skinny dip in the sea.

    Brighton Beach, Sussex

Is there a nudist beach in Brighton?

Originally opened in 1979, Brighton’s nudist beach is one of the most popular and most accessible nudist beaches in the UK. And since it’s Brighton and involves public nudity, the beach is hugely popular within the gay community. Despite the fact that the beach itself is one of shingle and pebbles, it remains one of the UK’s busiest naturist spots. So be sure to bring flip-flops and particularly comfortable towel if you’re planning on sunning your bits in Brighton.

    Porthzennor Cove, Cornwall

If you’re looking for something more secluded, and perhaps a little more comfortable and beach-like, then it’s time to head to Cornwall. Britain’s best beaches are tucked away at its southernmost point, many of which are treacherously difficult to access. The rugged beauty of the West Cornwall coastline makes it ideal for naturists, populated with plenty of little coves and rocks that are perfect for sunbathing in your birthday suit. Though naturism is not officially recognised down there, you’ll be sure to come across many isolated coves whose seclusion makes them well-suited for nudists.

Porthzennor is one of the coastline’s secluded sandy coves that is difficult to get to but ensures that there won’t be any passers-by that will be shocked to see your white bits. The crashing cliffs cleave open to reveal several corners of private sand that make an ideal private beach for two (or more). Just be careful when swimming as there are often strong undertows, and the closest land from there is the USA.

    St Osyth, Essex

Nude beaches in Essex just seems to be asking for trouble to me. I mean how many people try to tan in the land of fake tan? But low and behold St Osyth exists, not far from Clacton-on-sea, in the heart of good ole Essex beach country. The beach itself is a bugger to get to, taking about 20 minutes to walk to from the nearest car park. So while this makes access difficult for the more “mature naturist”, it also discourages snoopers.

The beach itself is about 2 miles long and isn’t overlooked, with about 1 or 2 miles of ground between it and the nearest road or track. St Osyth is unofficially divided into three different sections: one for straight naturists, one for men only, and then one populated by sand dunes. The latter part has been known to be something of a “swinging” area, but again that’s all just luck of the draw and who’s around on that day.

    Morfa Ganol, Wales

Wales?! I know, first Essex now Wales, but hear me out. What the Welsh coast lacks in warmth, it makes up for with incredible landscapes to go with your manscapes (I’m running out of naked men jokes here). While you’ll need to pack a pair of walking boots to actually get to Morfa Ganol, you won’t need to wear anything else once you get there. The blissful beach is backed by the Snowdonia National Park, which means it’s pristine clear (albeit slightly chilly) waters are so clean they have earned the highest quality rating by European standards. Waters which are frequented by dolphins and the occasional German nudist. High praise from both.

    Cleat’s Shore, Isle of Arran

So at this point in the list, we’ve all but abandoned the idea of a hot sandy beach in favour of whatever else UK beaches have to offer. So in for a penny, in for a pound, and let’s get naked on the brisk beaches of Scotland.

Cleat’s Shore is Scotland’s only official nude beach, and despite that impressive title, it is almost always empty. This makes it a great spot for our first time naturists. You’re far more likely to spend your time conversing with nature rather than other couples. But you won’t be the only nudists on the beach; seals are common in the area, so at least you’ll be skinnier than someone.

Throw in some rock pools, basking sharks and the occasional golden eagle, and Cleat’s Shore is a nude beach with a difference, which, let’s face it, is probably a good thing.

So don’t write off the UK as a great place to strip off. Yes the water may be colder, but the experience may be all the richer because of it. Have you been to any secret or beautiful nude beaches in the UK? Let us know all about them in the comments section below.

  • 10 things you’re doing wrong if your sex life has died

It’s completely normal if after a while the excitement in your sex life dies a little.

Tip for a sex life that's died

They say, don’t they, that the 7-year-inch is real. It’s apparently the time where, if you’re in a long-term relationship you start, maybe, to look around at what you’re missing, while totally forgetting that everything you need is standing right in front of you.

So what can you do to ensure all your cylinders are firing? We spoke to Rachael McCoy, an award winning sex and relationship coach about the simple things that we can do to make sure you’re getting amazing sex, even if you’re 7 years deep into your relationship

So what can you do to ensure all your cylinders are firing? We spoke to Rachael McCoy, an award winning sex and relationship coach about the simple things that we can do to make sure you’re getting amazing sex, even if you’re 7 years deep into your relationship

    Turn off your technology

Have at least one night a month where you promise to turn all tech and outside distractions off and just spend time together. In this modern day, we all have tablets, phones and other forms of gadgets that distract us away from quality time together.

    Buy a gift

Aim to take it in turns to surprise the other person with a gift or experience that they really enjoy. A great tip on how to do this is to listen when your partner says things they like. Make a note on your phone and when they are least expecting it, spring it on them. They’ll be so grateful that you remembered.

    Massage your way to climax

Erotic massage is a great treat that never gets old. When you know your husband/ wife has been having a stressful time, greet them one day after work with some massage oil, a candle lit (warm) room and work your magic to massage their stress away.

    Chow down

Taking the time to cook your partner a nice meal is a lovely gesture as it shows your spending time and energy to do something thoughtful for them. Actually sitting down and eating together (not in front of the TV) is becoming less common these days too so make sure the table is set and you can both talk about your day/ week or life in general.

Roxanne, you don’t have to turn on that red light – ‘cept you should.

Get a red light bulb and swap it with your normal bulb. It completely changes the look and atmosphere in the room, instantly making it feel very seductive and naughty.

    Get some friends

Going out with friends may not seem romantic at the time but socialising and ‘representing’ as a couple with friends is a really fun thing to do. In other people’s presence, we tend to be more playful. It will give you lots of things to talk about and it’s something you can both enjoy together.

    Oral

Some spontaneous oral sex is always a pleasurable treat for a loved one. Catch them when they are nice and clean but not expecting your sexy treat. Make the effort to spend a decent amount of time working their ‘goodies’ with your lips and tongue.

    Be sentimental

For an incredibly sentimental gift idea, how about putting together a collage of images. It will be even more romantic if you do it for no apparent reason, just to make them happy. There are plenty of apps that do this now or you could print off your favourite picture memories and cut them to fit nicely in a frame. It proudly shows your declaration of love and will definitely show your partner you care.

    Separate

Doing things separately may seem the opposite of romantic but actually it’s a very healthy thing to do in marriages (and relationships in general). As much as you love each other, living in each other’s pockets can become suffocating and predictable. Doing hobbies separately creates desire and interest into the other person, giving you both some great conversation too.

    Show gratitude

Remember to show gratitude. In long term relationships it’s easy to forget to say the little things like ‘Thank you’ ‘I love this about you’ or ‘I’m so grateful for’. This mainly happens because we’ve said it so many times before and we just expect the other person to know. But it is imperative that you always remember to tell your husband/ wife these things regularly. It will make all the difference to your marriage and help ensure that it’s a long and happy one.

  • 10 ways to reduce your risk of brittle bones

Did you know that one in five men over the age of 50 will suffer a fracture due to weakened bones?

    ©-stetsik-Depositphotos
    ©-stetsik-Depositphotos

Osteoporosis is known as the “silent disease” affecting around 3 million people in the UK. It mainly affects older people by weakening bone strength and density making breaks and fractures a lot more common.

Worryingly our bone health starts to decline during our mid-30s but a new simple test of your finger and toenails can help you determine whether you’re at risk of osteoporosis.

    TV’s Doctor Dawn Harper said,

“Osteoporosis is a condition often associated with older people, but our bone health starts to decline from our mid-30s, so early identification and intervention is critical to minimise risk and help manage osteoporosis later down the line.

“Knowing your risk from early on will allow you to make necessary diet and lifestyle changes.

“By combining a nutrient-rich diet, inclusive of calcium and vitamin D, with weight bearing and muscle strengthening exercises such as walking, jogging and Pilates, you can help slow down bone loss, strengthen bones and reduce the risk of a breakage.

“This is especially relevant for those at increased risk of developing osteoporosis.”

Dr Dawn Harper’s Top Tips to Reduce Risk of Osteoporosis

    1) Love your bones

It’s never too early to start thinking about your bone health  – the more you can invest in healthy bones before your thirties, the stronger they will be for life. It’s also never too late to start looking after your bones, so whatever your age, keep reading and do all you can to protect your bones

    2) Go for dairy

Bones need calcium, dairy products are a good source of dietary calcium but so are green leafy vegetables. If you are concerned about your calcium intake, talk to a pharmacist, GP or dietician about ways to increase intake which may include taking calcium supplements

    3) Catch some rays

vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium and will also keep muscles strong and help prevent falls in older people.  If you’re not getting enough sunlight in the winter months, eat foods rich in vitamin D which include dairy products, oily fish, fruit, vegetables and cereals or  consider taking a supplement

    4) Watch your weight

if your body mass index (BMI) is too high (above 24.9) or too low (below 18.5) it can put you at increased risk of osteoporosis

    5) Stress your bones

    CREDIT: gstockstudio-bigstock
    CREDIT: gstockstudio-bigstock

Bones need to be used to stay strong  – do something every day to stress your bones – walking, running or dancing are excellent ways to keep your bones healthy

    6) Count those steps

Invest in a pedometer. We should all be doing 10,000 paces a day and if you have a sedentary job you may be horrified by how short you fall. Making sure you manage those 10,000 steps will mean you walk 7.5Kms a day and this will go a long way to protecting your bones for the future

    7) Ditch the cigs

smoking increases your risk of thin bones, so speak to your pharmacist or GP about smoking cessation services and make it a priority now

    8) Curb your drinking

Stick to recommended alcohol limits which are less than you may think – just 14 units a week. Drinking more will increase the risk of osteoporosis

    9) Watch your fizz

    CREDIT: ©-everett225-Depositphotos

fizzy drinks can leach minerals from your bones making you more prone to osteoporosis

    10) Assess your risk

if you think you are at risk, speak to your GP about whether you would be eligible for a DXA scan or you could consider the Osentia at home testing kit (available online at www.osentia.co.uk or www.superdrug.com)

  • OPINION | 10 things gay guys should stop doing

OPINION | 10 things gay guys should stop doing

From a young age we are conditioned on what is right and wrong, but how does that work for the modern day gay man? With many embracing their sexuality in many different ways it is important to remember that we still represent the LGBT community and there are many things we shouldn’t be doing:

    CREDIT: bigstock
    CREDIT: bigstock

    1. Calm down dear, it’s only a commercial

I remember being on a night out where the music was good. It was nearing the end of the night and Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” began to play. I was standing harmlessly next a gentleman in his late forties who began screaming like a twelve-year-old girl. There’s no need for dramatics, and no need to scream.

    2. You are not a Barbie girl living in a Barbie world

I have strong judgement towards those who wear bad makeup. I understand it is a personal choice and it isn’t a problem if you do, but keep it clean and under control. You shouldn’t have foundation on your chest or neck as it does rub on your clothes when you’re dancing around and it is noticeable.

    3. The bigger they are, the harder they fall

I am not a size queen, but it does annoy me that in modern society everybody is more interested in what is in your pants than in your heart. I remember having a conversation over text with a baker. After asking for a picture of his cake he thought I was dyslexic and had spelt cock wrong.

    4. Lesbihonest

Lesbians don’t bite. What do you think they are hiding down there? A gnome? They have as much right to celebrate sexuality as anyone else. My friend recently dated another girl whose arms were so big she could pick me up like Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing – amazing.

    5. You can’t pull off plastic

I don’t and never have understood the cliques of the gay world. Can’t we all just bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy? This isn’t Mean Girls and you are not Regina George.

    6. Blow kisses, not boys

If you make out you’re a slut by kissing various guys throughout the night and bragging about it, it only makes it okay for other guys to call you a slut. Keep it classy and no one will judge.

    7. Snap Happy

If you want to act like you’re in an episode of Will and Grace, be my guest. Just please don’t think it is okay to snap your fingers at others in rest rooms or smoking areas with a catchphrase such as ‘Hey girlfriend’.

    8. Darling, you cannot act straight

How many profiles have you seen with ‘straight acting’ on them. Firstly, if you are using a dating application/website aimed at homosexual men and women then you are in the wrong place. Are you looking for someone to pretend to be straight for you?

    9. If you want money, date Scrooge McDuck

A lot of people seem to be obsessed with money. Personally, I have never found money attractive and couldn’t imagine sleeping on a bed of thin paper notes. It doesn’t matter what your annual income is or what label clothes you wear. It is all about the personality.

    10. Finally, just be you

I think along the lines of trying to fit in with a stereotypical gay world we forget who we are. For years we have been fighting for gay rights, and for people to celebrate their sexuality. Don’t let that put you down, stand up.

7 things you should seriously not do with Strawberry lube

Chances are if you’ve used Strawberry Lube you’ve probably been using it properly. You know for sex. However, these hilarious Amazoners have been using their lube for different purposes – some of the crafty buggers have used the sticky lube as a breakfast spread.

As yummy as strawberry lube can be, you probably shouldn’t be using it as a spread for your / your Mother-in-Law’s sandwiches (although it is totally non-toxic).

Durex’s sex and relationships expert Alix Fox said,

“It’s lovely to see people having a laugh – after all, a sense of humour is one of the best accessories you can bring into the bedroom – but obviously I advise that folks should follow the usage instructions supplied with sexual wellbeing products, which means sticking to what they’re designed for.

“Durex flavoured lubes are completely safe to consume, so popping them on puddings shouldn’t do you any harm, but there are better ways to use them. They’re for bodies, not breakfasts, and although they’re brilliant whether you’re a top or a bottom, they’re not intended for topping toast!”

Ice cream van owner’s customers are mad for the red stuff…

“I’ve owned an ice cream van for nearly 30 years and I can’t tell you enough how wonderful this product is. Basically a lot of my customers ask for Red Sauce when purchasing a 99 with flake. I have found it hard to keep up with demand as well as soaring strawberry prices. So in order to keep my customers happy I tried Durex Play Sweet Strawberry and have never looked back. My customers now think I only serve organic free-range strawberry sauce because it tastes so dam good. Also, you should see their children’s glistening smile after one of my 99’s it really gives me a sense of purpose and knowing I am top of my game in the world of mobile frozen dairy goodness. A****”

Sam found himself using it when he ran out of Jam!

“I used it on my toast when I run out of strawberry jam. Tasted wonderful”

One user seemed to have trouble keeping it in the zone

GF says its gets in her hair and is sticky!!”

Corey’s Mother-In-Law apparently lives for it

“Execellent sandwich spread mother in law loves it”

    Dad’s Jam

“I ran out of strawberry jam and so I used this to put in the kids rice pudding. They couldn’t tell the difference and they’re pretty intelligent”

Mr. Maker needs his morning fix

“I love the taste of this stuff, you can even put it on your corn flakes! ?”

    Replacing Mayo???

“me and the misses usually [sic] use yoghurt or mayo. this is nice olternative [sic] lol tasty the misses as a mouth full”

Fancy doing something weird and wonderful with your lube, Alix suggests,

“If you’re determined to get creative with ’em, try making your own frozen flavoured ‘Lube Cubes’. Pour some of the gel into an ice cube tray, pop it in the freezer for a few hours to set, then when it’s ready, trail a cube over your lover’s skin during an intimate massage. Let it melt on their body for a thrilling, chilling sensation, then warm them up by following the trail of juicy flavour with your hot tongue.”

Want some strawberry jam lube to try for yourself – head on over to THEGAYSHOP.co.uk store and check out the range of flavoured lubes.

One question that should never be left ignored is whether you picked a honeymoon destination that is gay-friendly. With a whopping 75 countries still having some form of anti-homosexuality law, it’s easy to see how your perfect holiday could go awry. Although not feeling comfortable showing your affection to your loved one in public is not something you should ever have to deal with, it’s an especially unwelcome feeling on this special occasion. So, we’ve put together a list of the most gay-friendly honeymoon destinations; areas filled with beauty, vibrancy and friendliness.

    1. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Bring out the glitz and the feathers! Rio has been a favourite of same-sex partners for decades. With its vibrant carnival and world-famous gay-friendly neighbourhoods, Copacabana and Ipanema, Rio ticks many boxes. The beaches are gorgeous, the views phenomenal, the nightlife exciting and the food amazing. We may also have a soft spot as the Rio Olympics saw the record for the most out athletes participating in history.

    2. Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is constantly at the top of the most LGBT-friendly lists — and with good reason. A great mix of delicious tapas, fabulous sandy beaches, stunning historical buildings, balmy year-round climate, and a selection of gay bars, saunas, cruises and hotels to boot make it easy to see why it’s a holiday favourite amongst the gay scene.

    3. Reykjavik, Iceland

Same-sex marriage became legal in Iceland in 2010, but the country always had a relaxed and accepting attitude towards gay couples. For one thing, their prime minister is openly gay! Despite all this, the beauty of this outlandish country is what will captivate you the most. Don’t miss the Blue Lagoon: a geothermal spa located in a lava field where you can soak in milky blue water at any time of the year.

    4. Buenos Aires, Argentina

Gay marriage was legalised in 2010 in Argentina, but Buenos Aires was a mecca for gay travellers way before then. Dubbed the “most European place in South America,” it’s a sprawling city rich in history. Take a stroll hand in hand along the pedestrian Calle Florida in the Microcentro, or in the Recoleta, Palermo and marvel at all the beauty without a care.

    5. Cancun, Mexico

Cancun has so much more to offer than the hedonistic reputation that precedes it. There’s a bit of everything for everyone. Sure, there’s the crazy night life if you fancy that, but there are also a whole throng of gay beaches and hotels to pick from, and a carefree, ‘live and let live’ vibe that’ll put you right at ease.

    6. Cape Town, South Africa

One wouldn’t always think of the African continent when it comes to gay-friendly travel destinations, but South Africa was the fifth country in the world and first in Africa to legalise same-sex marriage. Seen by many as one of the most beautiful cities in South Africa, Cape Town promises spectacular scenery, incredible beaches and exotic wildlife. Drive safely, though, as the baboons run free!

Taiwan may also come as a surprise for a gay-friendly destination, but it is one of the most accepting countries in Asia. There’s something for all tastes and tonnes to explore for such a tiny island, including nine national parks (don’t miss the Taroko National Park), a bustling metropolis, pleasant sub-tropical weather and beautiful, remote beaches.

The sun always shines in the South Californian desert oasis of Palm Springs. As a city that boasts the most same-sex (and the most clothing optional!) hotels in the world, it’s easy to see how you’ll have a great time. Rather go golfing? Hiking? Clubbing? There’s little that can’t be had in Palm Springs.

  • How gay are the music charts?

Really effing gay it seems that’s for sure

What do Abba, Kylie, Scissor Sisters, Elton, Jason Donovan, Streisand and Musical Theatre have in common? Read on.

The official chart company have just published the list of the biggest selling album for each year from 1956 up until today and basically it seems you really have to appeal to the pink pound if you want a really big seller. Abba come up tops three times, Adele twice and loads of other very gay friendly artists are among the chart champs of the last 60 years even Su Bo make the list.

Unbelievably 11 of the list are from musicals and musical theatre so nothing gay there then. There is no room for any macho rock, hip hop, r&b, rock and roll or homophobic reggae. Basically if you don’t fit with the G-A-Y party Crowd, a pride float, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern dancefloor or on Gaydar radio then you ain’t gonna get those multi-platinum discs.

Gays just have more spare cash and we LOVE to spend it on our music. Therefore no Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Beyoncé, Rihanna, U2, Dance acts or any closet queer punk rockers.

It’s not a race – and there isn’t a prize for being first! Take your time and if you finish before your partner, don’t get all huffy. Nothing is more of a turn off that a huffy bed partner.

    2) I’m gonna fart…

    3) My ex used to do this…

We don’t care if your ex had a 9 incher that, stayed solid for hours on end and came on command. We are different and special in our own way. Love the way I make love or move on.
