Justin Trudeau is one of the most talked about leaders of the world – and is notable for his positive and progressive stance on LGBT+ issues and rights.

Is Justin Trudeau gay?

Justin Trudeau entered into power as Canada’s 23rd Prime Minister in November 2015. Since his time in power he has been at the forefront of LGBT+ equality in Canada has been a clear advocate for the LGBT+ community.

He made history by walking in Vancouver Pride, the first Canadian Prime Minister to do so. He issued a sweeping apology for historic gay convictions and his Government is also considering gender neutral ID card for its citizens. In March 2016 Canada became the third country in the world to approve the anti-HIV drug, PrEP, for use in the communities which need it the most.

In 2016 the pride flag was flown for the first time from Parliament Hill.

During his premiership, a vote took place on the gender bias of Canada’s national. A bill passed by 225 votes to 74 to change lyrics of the anthem.  The line “True patriot love in all thy sons command”, will be scrapped and replaced with, “True patriot love in all of us command”.

As a side, he’s also been voted the world’s sexiest Prime Minister!
