The League Of Gentlemen are due to return to the small screen following a decade and a half in waiting. Yes, those grotesqueย characters are making a comeback for a three episode special for BBC.
All four of The League of Gentlemen’s original creators – Gatiss, Steve Pemberton, Jeremy Dyson, and Reece Shearsmith – will come together for the new specials.
The programme got a quick mention from the BBC press office yesterday – which basically sent Twitter into a meltdown.
Pemberton toldย The Daily Mirror: “I think there is still an appetite for it, people still remember it, we are all still great mates and I see no reason why not. We won’t rush it, it’s something we want to go get it right.”

The 3 part series has been made to commemorateย its 20 years of existence. The League was originallyย a radio production before it was transferred to TV in 1999.
